Also, several other works undertaken by the state for providing water supply are drilling of borewell, construction of water supply cistern, provision of drinking water facilities in the village areas, providing mini water supply and augmentation of bulk water supply.
The next ranked spend area is afforestation services. A total of 5472 tenders were published during the financial year 2023-24. The forest department is a key buyer of tenders in this category. Monsoon plantation works, maintenance of existing one year and two year plantation, advance work for pit plantation, purchase of tree guard and garden plantation are some of the works undertaken under this category.
Temporary staffing is the third ranked spend category with 4553 tenders. In this category, many different types of manpower are hired by the government as in for example, provision of admin staff, non clinical manpower, group d staff, unskilled labours and sweepers. There is a significant demand for manpower service tenders in Karnataka state.
