| Tender Description | Excavating in trenches, n exc 1.5 m wide and n exc 1.5 m in depth; for foundation, etc. or for shafts, wells, cesspits, manholes, pier holes, etc. n exc 10 sq m on plan and n exc 1.5 m in depth and getting out in soft/loose soil. Surface excavation n. exc 30cm deep & averaging 15cm deep and getting out in soft / loose soil. Returning, filling in, including spreading, levelling, watering & well ramming in layers n. exc 25 cm in soft/loose soil. Spreading & levelling in layers n exc. 25 cm thick & well ramming incl. watering as required Removing excavated soil n exc. 50 m and depositing where directed at a level n exc. 1.5 m above the starting point complete all as specified. M&L for PCC 1:4:8 type D2 (using 40 mm graded stone aggregate) in mass concrete and foundations, filling and mass concreting M&L for brickwork with old size subclass ‘B’ bricks, straight or curved on plan exc 6m mean radius built in CM 1:6 all as specified and directed by Engineer - in - Charge .
