EARNEST MONEY DEPOSIT : The tenderer will be required to pay a sum as specified in the covering letter, as earnest money deposit along with the tender either through e-payment or through a non-revokable Bank Guarantee in favour of Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited, from a bank from the list of banks whose bank guarantees are acceptable to the Corporation (list enclosed) payable at Mumbai in favour of Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited, Mumbai in the proforma enclosed. Note: Public sector enterprises, Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) with Udyam registration and Startups as recognized by Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) are exempted from payment of Earnest Money Deposit. If any bidder is claiming MSE status and the bid is submitted without uploading Valid UDYAM REGISTRATION CERTIFICATE on- line in the appropriate place along with the rest of your bid, the bid shall be rejected. If any bidder is claiming EMD exemption without uploading valid DPIIT certificate online at the appropriate place along with the rest of your bid, the bid shall be rejected. In cases of EMD exemption, Bidders shall sign a Bid securing declaration accepting that if they withdraw or modify their Bids during the period of validity, or if they are awarded the contract and they fail to sign the contract, or to submit a performance security before the deadline defined in the request for bids or request for proposals document, they will be suspended for a period of One year from being eligible to submit Bids or Proposals for contracts with the Procurement Authority. If Bid declaration is not given, such bids shall be rejected. The GTC clause 4.A is not applicable and the above mentioned clause supersedes the GTC Clause 4.A." on the 16 Jul 2024.
